This Children's Privacy & COPPA Information explains how RW Labs ("RW Labs", "we", "us", or "our") approaches privacy and advertising when Colorbook is used by children and families.

Colorbook is a coloring application intended for children and families. Because children may use the service, we take additional precautions designed to limit the collection and use of children's personal information.

Important: This page is a plain-language summary and does not replace our Kids Privacy Disclosure, Privacy Policy, or Terms of Service. It is not a legal certification or a representation that every use of Colorbook satisfies every privacy law in every country.

1. Who Operates Colorbook?

2. Our Approach to Children's Privacy

We believe children's personal information should be handled carefully. Where Colorbook is used by or directed to children, we seek to apply appropriate safeguards to limit unnecessary collection, use, disclosure, and retention of personal information.

Our child-focused practices include:

Collecting only information reasonably necessary for the features we provide.
Not knowingly selling children's personal information.
Not using children's personal information for behavioral advertising.
Using advertising configurations intended for child-directed experiences where required.
Using non-personalized advertising where required by applicable laws, platform rules, or advertising-provider policies.
Keeping advertising separate from the core coloring activity as reasonably practicable.
Making rewarded advertising optional rather than requiring a child to watch an advertisement to access essential safety or account functionality.
Not providing public child profiles intended for interaction with strangers.
Not providing stranger-to-child direct messaging or open social networking features.
Providing mechanisms for parents or guardians to request deletion or other appropriate action concerning a child's personal information.

3. What Is COPPA?

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") is a United States federal law that provides specific privacy protections for children under 13 years of age and certain online services that collect personal information from children.

COPPA may apply when Colorbook is directed to children under 13 in the United States or when we have actual knowledge that we are collecting personal information from a child under 13 in circumstances covered by COPPA.

Other countries and regions may have additional or different requirements. Where applicable, we seek to comply with the privacy requirements that apply to our service and users.

4. Information We May Collect or Process

Depending on how Colorbook is configured and used, we may process limited information such as:

Account email address, where an account is created.
Display name or profile information provided by the user.
Coloring progress and completed coloring pages.
Favorites, preferences, achievements, and app settings.
Information required to maintain an account or synchronize progress.
Push-notification token information, where notifications are enabled.
Device, application, diagnostic, crash, and technical information necessary to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
Information relating to advertising events where required to provide or measure permitted advertising.

We do not intend to collect sensitive personal information from children unless it is specifically necessary, legally permitted, and appropriately protected for a particular feature.

5. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect

Colorbook is not designed to require children to provide information such as their home address, telephone number, precise location, photographs of themselves, school information, or other highly sensitive information in order to use the basic coloring functionality.

We ask users and parents not to submit unnecessary personal information through free-text fields, support requests, or other areas of the service.

6. Parental Consent

Where applicable law requires verifiable parental consent before we collect personal information from a child, we will seek to obtain the required consent using a method reasonably designed to verify that the consenting person is the child's parent or legal guardian.

The specific consent mechanism may depend on the service, account type, location of the user, information being collected, and legal requirements applicable at the time.

If required consent cannot be obtained, we may limit, disable, or delete the affected account or information rather than continuing to collect personal information that requires consent.

7. Parents and Guardians Have Control

Parents and legal guardians may contact us regarding personal information associated with their child. Subject to applicable law and reasonable verification of the requester's authority, a parent or guardian may request appropriate action such as:

Information about the categories of personal information collected from the child.
Access to personal information maintained about the child, where legally required.
Correction of inaccurate information.
Deletion of personal information.
Withdrawal of consent where consent was the legal basis for processing.
Stopping or restricting further collection or use where required by applicable law.

We may need to verify the identity and parental relationship of the person making a request before disclosing, modifying, or deleting information. This verification is intended to protect children from unauthorized requests.

8. Account Deletion

Where account functionality is provided, users may be able to initiate account deletion through the Colorbook application.

Parents or guardians may also contact us directly to request deletion of a child's account or personal information.

When deletion is requested, we will take reasonable steps to delete the applicable information, subject to information that we are legally required or permitted to retain, such as information necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

9. Advertising and Rewarded Ads

Colorbook may use advertising to support the service without requiring a paid subscription.

Where rewarded advertising is offered, the user may voluntarily choose to watch an advertisement in exchange for an in-app reward, such as access to additional coloring content or another permitted feature.

Rewarded ads are optional. Coloring itself should not require a child to provide personal information or make a purchase merely to participate in the core coloring experience.

Where Colorbook is directed to children or is otherwise subject to child-directed advertising requirements, advertising will be configured according to the applicable requirements of the relevant platform, advertising provider, and law.

This may include the use of non-personalized advertising, restrictions on interest-based advertising, restrictions on sensitive advertising categories, and other safeguards required by applicable rules.
